Veterinary Pathology Online SUBSCRIBER HELP & SERVICES:
Frequently Asked Questions
about Member Subscriptions

  1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

Yes, when you renew your annual membership with payment of dues, you will receive a user name and a password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.

  2. What if I forget my password?

Call or email the ACVP Executive Office:
    608-443-2466 or journal{at}acvp.org

  3. What are the member benefits of a subscription to Veterinary Pathology Online?

    Member Subscribers have access to:
Tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, document delivery, PDFs, links to Medline and GenBank, future tables of contents, interjournal links to other HighWire Press journals, and the advantage of having password access to Veterinary Pathology Online from any computer connected to the Internet.

To renew your membership online, visit the ACVP website at www.acvp.org or call the ACVP Executive Office at 608-443-2466.

  4. Who is eligible for a Member Subscription?

ACVP Members receive, with their annual dues payment, Member Subscriptions to Veterinary Pathology, providing them with a paper and electronic version of the journal. Members may also have access to Veterinary Pathology Online through an Institutional Subscription. Institutional Subscriptions are somewhat more limited than Member Subscriptions. The special member services are not available to non-member subscribers, and full-text access from off of the institution's network (e.g. home access) is not available.

  5. How can I access the Veterinary Pathology Online if I am not an ACVP member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

You may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) print subscription which provides access to the electronic version. Without a subscription you have access to tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.

  6. How do I become a member of ACVP?

Veterinarians who satisfy the requirements as to training and experience, and demonstrate professional competence in veterinary pathology by successful completion of the certifying examination, are accepted into the organization as a Diplomate. Currently, there are 1268 active members and 140 Emeritus members. Information about ACVP membership is available from the ACVP website.
